Mbaka is a confused sorcerer, he needs prayers to rediscover priestly calling – Onwubiko

The National Coordinator of the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, has described the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, AMEN, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka as a confused sorcerer who needs the prayers of Nigerians to rediscover his priestly mandate.

Onwubiko disclosed this to DAILY POST in a swift reaction to a statement credited to Mbaka’s media aide, Barr. Maximus Ugwuoke, on Tuesday, where security operatives were called upon to investigate Onwubiko and the HURIWA National Media Affairs Director, Miss Zainab Yusuf, over their threat to drag Mbaka to court concerning his New Year prophesy on plot to assassinate President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The labourious manner with which they (Onwubiko and Yusuf) attacked the prophetic message in an attempt to filibuster and water it down betrays their innocence on this issue and this should make them prime suspects in the list of the nation’s intelligent Security Surveillance,” Ugwuoke wrote.

But responding almost immediately on behalf of his group, the HURIWA Coordinator maintained that the fiery priest’s reaction was disgraceful and reprehensible, stressing that it has made him ashamed of being a member of the Roman Catholic Church where Mbaka is a priest.

His statement reads, “Our attention in the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA ) has been called to an alleged reaction to our criticism of Ejike Mbaka’s prophesy concerning the life of Mr President and all we can say is that we are convinced that Fr Mbaka has become a confused sorcerer who should be prayed for to rediscover his priestly calling.

“Our reaction to his so called prophesy was done in exercise of our freedom of expression and we are not afraid of his so called reaction advising the security officials to seek our view because our view has been clearly expressed and we are indeed ready to send our letter to the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria to demand that Mbaka be called to order.

“We will proceed to the Vatican with our petition if the Bishops are too afraid to advise Fr Mbaka to abide by his priestly vocation and leave politics for politicians. We have never made any threat to drag him to court but to his bishops who are his bosses and to the Roman Curia in the Vatican. Why is Mbaka afraid of responding to the Bishops if our letter gets to them?

“Fr Mbaka indeed should be prayed for. Mbaka does not love Mr President more than us. We love our President. Mbaka’s reaction today is disgraceful and reprehensible. I’m ashamed of being a Roman Catholic if this is the quality of priest the Church can boast of, made up of power hungry sycophants who behave like tyrants,” he said.
