Opportunities for us to draw down energy arise constantly. We certainly don’t need to wait for a picture-perfect moment to extend ourselves for others.
For example, if someone approaches us for help in the midst of our busiest hour, we have a choice: We can brush the person off and respond curtly, or we can say to ourselves, “Wait a minute. Maybe this person needs help in some way.” If we can reach outside of ourselves— even if for only a moment—then we will have connected with the Love of God.
Each of us is just one single person. But if we can uplift one other person, and then that person in turn uplifts another, in a few days we will have affected thousands of people, if not more. If we can feel the people around us and extend love instead of judgment, we can get to the place beyond physicality and create a better world for all humanity. And that is a true blessing.
