DAILY AWARENESS 19 April 2016: Before you reach outside of yourself

 Before you reach outside of yourself—to food, drink, or whatever it is that you fancy--stop and ask yourself if it is truly what your soul desires or just what your inner child wants to feel good now. Find two areas of your life where you feel victimized and take a concrete step to take responsibility for your own fulfillment. Feel your own joy and other people's joy.

Most importantly, be gentle with yourself and your inner child. You are work in progress and a child of God who loves you. Healing comes from positively acknowledging and taking responsibility for what we need to change, not from beating ourselves up.
