Gov. Ugwuanyi's Press Conference on the recent attack on the people of Nimbo Community in Uzo Uwani L.G.A by Suspected Fulani herdsmen. Friday April 29, 2016

My Dear People of Enugu State,

Four days ago on Monday April 25, 2016 many of our brothers and sisters in Nimbo in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of the state were murdered in cold blood by suspected Fulani herdsmen who have been grazing their cattle in that area for a while now.
May their souls rest in peace. Amen.
On Sunday, April 24, 2016, by 7 pm, the night before this carnage took place, I got security information from Uzo-Uwani Local Government Transition Chairman, Hon. Cornell Onwubuya that such an incident was likely to take place in the state.
I immediately summoned a meeting of the State Security Council which commenced by 10 pm.
The meeting was attended by the following:
1.   Garrison Commander Brigadier General Olufemi Akinjobi who normally represents the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army
2.   The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Nwodibo Ekechukwu
3.   The State Director of Department State Security Services (DSS), Mr. M. Abdul Malik
4.   The State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Lar Stephen
5.   Representatives of the Nigerian Air force, Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigerian Prison Services, who attended as observers.

From the side of government were, myself, the Governor, the Deputy Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff, the Chairman, State Traditional Rulers Council and the Honourable Attorney General of the State.

In the meeting, we received assurances from the Commissioner of Police that the Area Commander of SARS was on ground in Nimbo.
-That the Anti-Terrorism Unit was at Nimbo

- That he was in contact with the Kogi State Commissioner of Police and reported suspected herdsmen grouping at Odolu in Kogi State preparatory for an attack on Nimbo and Abbi communities
-         That Police mobile force and conventional police were already drafted to Nimbo and Abbi communities.
        -  That he was in touch with the Area Commander, Idah, ACP Ikegwuonwu and had linked him with the Area Commander, Nsukka, ACP Monday Kuryas.
Both men according to the CP reported that there were no traces of suspected herdsmen in Nsukka or Idah.
-That he ordered the Area Commander, Nsukka to redeploy to Nimbo.
-That the Garrison Commander on his part assured the meeting that Military was already deployed to Nimbo.
Let me state that the State Government provided logistics for these deployments.
After receiving these assurances of deployments to Nimbo, I felt quite confident that we had done everything possible to forestall an attack on Nimbo.  I have deliberately narrated what transpired at the Security Council meeting fully conscious of the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution pertaining to my oath of office.  I am doing this in due discharge of my duties as Governor.
Sadly, in the early hours of Monday reports of this carnage reached me. More disturbing was the report that the attack of innocent and defenceless citizens were carried out at about 6 30 am.
Further reports available to me indicate that apart from the killing and maiming of innocent and defenceless citizens of Nimbo a Church was also burnt. Following this development, I engaged the security agencies in order to ensure that the Nimbo area was secured from further attacks that might escalate the situation.
On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, I visited Nimbo in order to establish firsthand the extent of carnage. My visit to Nimbo was revealing. I came face to face with the wounded and bereaved. I saw burnt and damaged personage of Christ Holy Church.  I saw a traumatized community in shock and despair. I saw a dead body.  I wept. I wondered what has become of our quest for a united, peaceful and prosperous nation. Our first national anthem had a phrase which went thus: “though tribe and tongue may differ, in brotherhood we stand.”
Only two weeks ago we gave a posthumous award to Alhaji Umaru Altine, a Katsina born Muslim who was elected mayor of Enugu before the Civil War, in the period that Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe was leader of the NCNC.
Now in less than three months, violent clashes have occurred in Enugu State in Awgu, Nike, Abbi and Nimbo between suspected Fulani Herdsmen and our people.
This situation cannot be allowed to continue.
For this reason, I sought audience with His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Our discussions were frank and cordial.
I am very grateful to the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari for his prompt and decisive reaction to the incident in Nimbo.  The President came out with a clear and unmistakable condemnation of this dastardly act and gave clear and definite directives to the security agencies to fish out these criminals and bring them to justice.
I have called you today not just to brief you on what has happened so far but to discuss in depth with you on what we must all do to prevent the occurrence of such incidents in the future.
So long as we are Nigerians, we cannot live in isolation but those who come to Enugu must respect out values and not engage in such dastardly act as we have witnessed recently.
I am at once, constituting a judicial commission of inquiry to investigate the immediate and remote causes of all the violent occurrences in the State associated with suspected Fulani Herdsmen and recommend appropriate measures that will be put in place to prevent future occurrence.
What happened between 6.30am and 7.30 am on Monday 25th April, 2016 despite assurances from the Security Agencies? Only the Security Agencies can answer this question.
Finally, all security agencies in the State are hereby directed to continue to ensure that lives and property of the people of the State and all its residents are protected.
Thank you and God bless you.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi
Governor, Enugu State

DAILY AWARENESS Thursday April 28, 2016:Approaching the 7th of Pesach day Israelites met the red sea

We are approaching the seventh day of Pesach, which begins tonight at sundown and ends at sundown tomorrow. On this day, the Israelites found themselves in a situation that seemed hopeless—the Egyptians were behind them and the sea was in front of them, and they were panicked.

We've all reached moments like this in our lives. We all come to our own Red Sea. We get to the place where we realize that our business is not working or this relationship is not working or this challenge seems insurmountable.

But in the story we read that when the Israelites, in their desperation, cry out the Creator, He replies, Why are you crying to me? I’ve already given you the tools…I’ve already told you that YOU are capable of changing the very nature of things in this world.

Friends, the Creator wasn’t just talking to the Israelites in the story. He is talking to you, to me, to all of us, right here and right now, telling us WE, through the power of our own consciousness and the spiritual tools, are capable of rising up, overcoming, and splitting our own Red Sea.

Who will bail the cat-Ugwu

The seeming inaction of the Commissioner of Police Mr Eke, a full blooded Igbo and the manipulative disposition of the GOC 82 division an full blooded Hausa / Fulani man and the lingering coldness of the President and Chief Security officer of the Nation call for closer examination. Rather we are running rings in different platforms attacking the State Governor who like his counter parts in other States was apparently was denied help and pooh pooing his call for prayer and fasting as if we will not in our natural self pray for the wounded and the dead.

Everyone appear to canvass one thing. ARM the youths.  Yes that is plausible and well entertained but the question is who and who should be armed?
The youth who have turned our universities to den of cultists? Give them guns and turn our universities to hell??????  Hmmmmm.

Equip the local vigilante with guns and mortars. Well very good. But how do we contain the backlash which will come almost as certain as the next attack by herdsmen? Many of such vigilante members are presently in Jail for robbery.

Look to the side of the many arms of Kidnappers among us who are not known but ply their trade with the collusion of bad eggs in the forces? RAISE an army of kidnappers across all local governments. God forbid!

Helplessly arm our many Robbers and unleash Daredevils on the same people you went out to protect???

That and this of course is the limitation of all our call for arms to be supplied our people.....and in the frenzy and mad rush to suggest solutions we chose to become selectively myopic.

Which homeland Army shall be equipped? Facebook is the home ground of all Igbo theorists and generals in the art of counter insurgence. They sleep here and speak all grammar,  propounding one option or the other BUT ALAS and truly so THE FULANI HERDSMEN do not plan on Facebook. They do not kill on FACEBOOK or fight their battle on pages of newspaper as we loquacious Igbos do. They have their plan tucked in their hearts.

Lets sit here in full exhibitionism. Lets demonstrate our ever increasing appetite for big grammar and pretended altruism,  bravado and the likes but on ground we dissolve like ice in the sun....

I have not yet seen any one VOLUNTEER. AND the only VOLUNTEER I am won't to recognise is one who will leave the fancied pages of Facebook,  make it to his village and corner all the fulanis in his backyard and behead them and u know what,  IN A SHOW OF BRAVADO make a SELFIE of himself sitting on the heap of corpses.

That is the art of men prepared to lead by example. That is the art of men so vexed in spirit. That is the beauty of DAVID..... HE was regaled for killing GOLIATH, BEHEADED HIM AND MADE A PUBLIC SHOW OF HIM.

HE was not on Facebook pontificating and riding the tiger of the FACEBOOK spokesman of the Israelites.

So who will wear the CROWN AS THE CHAMPION OF OUR PEOPLE......

State of our Nation-Louise Nwebonyi

LET'S FACE FACT!
I've discovered that one of the greatest problem we have in Nigeria is that we have choosen to stray away and dodge the remote realities on ground.

Amidst the past and present hardship and pains to which the masses have been/are subjected, permit me to voice out what I'm sure many would pretentiously contest.

We have all chosen to be hypocritical about our stand on the workability/otherwise of the experiment called Nigeria.

People who are deeply rooted in the stream of resource flow are afraid of change in status quo. Others are afraid of being tagged/associated with ethnic bigotry. While others are afraid of war.

But the fact remains that the "unity-in-diversity" mantra is so artificial and it is to each of us (Yoruba, Hausa & Igbo) no more than a way of rationalizing our precarious entanglement.

There are two options to a man when he misses his way, especially if he has strayed so far. He could choose to take the pain and find his way back to the right path or decide to continue in the wrong path and head adventurously to an uncertain destination.

While I can I agree that everything is not wrong about Nigeria, I do not need a prophet to tell me that something is fundamentally wrong with Nigeria's nationhood.

It is not impossible for Nigeria to succeed. But the fact remains that each of us (Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo) can succeed more efficiently and effectively standing alone.

I am an economist and from my "at-the-margin" thinking skills and cost-benefit consciousness, I have analyzed the perceived benefits so far of the Nigerian-nation-building and have seen that they are not worth the costs.

The costs are the millions of our innocent  brothers whose blood have been/still being shed relentlessly all over the country, either through Bookharam, Niger Delta militancy, IPOB/MASSOB activities, OPC/area boys activities, interethnic/religious clashes, fulani butcherings, etc.

The cost is the massive corruption, hunger and starvation, scarification of merit and excellence at the alter of ethnicity/federal character principle, brain drain, massive unemployment, to mention just a few.

We appear to be the biblical Jonah in each other's boat. I think we need to throw each other out so that the boat can get calm and everyone get to his destiny.

LET'S ACCEPT THIS FACT, HOWEVER TOUGH IT SOUNDS! "EME NGWA-NGWA, EMEGHARA ODACHI"

Buhari scheduled to meet Gburu:When you meet him ,tell am our mind.we no want again

Garba Shehu, the presidential media aide, has added that Buhari  is scheduled to meet with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi later today to receive further briefing on the attack on Ukpabi Nimbo and discuss additional measures to forestall similar attacks and restore public confidence.

The president advises all Nigerians to remain calm and assured of his administration’s readiness to deploy all required personnel and resources to remove this new threat to the collective security of the nation.

Nigerians have berated President Muhammadu Buhari for been silent over the continuous killings carried out by Fulani herdsmen across the country.

DAILY AWARENESS Sunday April 26, 2016:Call Upon the Angels

Most of us are born with two angels. The problem is that we are too busy to see them. Today, I suggest we all take a moment to connect with these beautiful beings, this angel consciousness that only wishes us well.

First, find a space where you feel content, a place where you feel free to be yourself--without any hang-ups, without anything to bother you. For a short point in time, just be there…take a few deep breaths. Imagine the huge Archangels surrounding you. See them comforting, caring, and loving. Feel their warmth.

The idea of the Passover is simply that the angels “pass over” us, waiting for us to ask them to be a part of our lives so that they can work on our behalf and for the good of the whole world.

DAILY AWARENESS 24 APRIL 2016:Want to Change Your Destiny?

What we DO need is to be aware: to understand that, as Einstein said, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. When we get angry and we jump at people or when we refuse to see the people around us or to care for things that we can, that little ball of energy we have created sits somewhere in the computer called our life. And we do not even feel it, because its input was sort of inadvertent. Ten years later something happens and we are standing maybe in front of a judge and he is really upset at us. And we say to ourselves, "Why is he upset? I did not do anything!" What we don’t remember is that ten years prior someone had come and asked us for something, and we were angry and upset.

So often in our lives, we do not connect to this bigger picture. We connect to today, we connect to now. We do not connect to the fact that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The more we can be aware and conscious of the energy that we put out into the universe, the better chance we have at changing our personal and collective destiny from one of darkness to one of love and light for all.

DAILY AWARENESS 23 April 2016:More Care, More Love

We talk about what it means to love one another, to care about one another. And the truth is that the most difficult thing in the world there is to do, really, sometimes, is to love someone. Why? When everything is harmonious and great, well then it is simple to love. But what happens when things aren’t so great? What happens to that love? Suddenly it turns to something else.

We need to understand that we love others not just because of what they do for “me” or how they benefit "my" life, but because with all the negative and positive, there is a point at which we join with each other, a point that does not sway. And I am not talking necessarily about romantic relationships here. I am talking about friendships as well. They say a friend is a fellow that knows all about you and still likes you. If we can bring ourselves to this consciousness, to an awareness of our interconnectedness, then we can open up our own vessels for more care and for more love, which is the only thing that really matters anyway because it is the Life-Force of God.

DAILLY AWARENESS 21 APRIL 2016: When you find yourself wanting to prove a point

When you find yourself wanting to prove a point, let go. Find ways to be present with friends, colleagues, or loved ones. Practice kindness and extend human dignity wherever possible. Open your heart and do something fun with those who are closest to you. Embrace your uniqueness, while feeling your connectedness to the GRACE OF GOD that sustains this world.

Most importantly, be gentle with yourself and your inner child. You are work in progress and a child of God who loves you. Healing comes from positively acknowledging what we need to change, not from beating ourselves up.

I Will Destroy Deeper Life Doctrimes Before i Die says Pastor Kumuyi

PastorKumuyi_0
A lot of members of the popular Deeper Life church are still stunned over a recent message from it’s General Overseer Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi.
Pastor Kumuyi while preaching during Sunday’s Worship Service spoke extensively about ‘The Word in A Transformed Believer’ where he openly chastised some sections of the church.
The 73-year-old preacher disclosed that some church leaders have bastardized the church’s doctrines.
He reportedly stated that most of the church doctrines were man made, and he created them, not that they were from the scriptures – the reason of which is to set people on the right path are now being transformed into the things of this world.
Seemingly angered by the situation, he said that most traditions that were borrowed into the church are going to be demolished.
He went on to go against the tradition usually observed by the Church’s marriage committee, which is peculiar to Deeper Life.
He asked the congregation of the church “Are we not conforming with the world.
Why are you dressing like of the world?”
He then called on the men to be in charge in their own home.
In his own words, “Women ministry is our own making, and if we find out that the women ministry is taking us into the world and we are helping each other on how to live like the world and marry like the world and deal with your husband like the world – if it is not helping us and if it is going to hinder us, we strike if off.”
“Before I leave, I mean before I go, I am going to remove everything that I set up, that I thought will help Deeper Life and make us Holy, make us sanctified, make us deep, make us deeper.
And I see it is not making us deeper, before I leave, I will uproot all of them and present to you a pure church before I leave.

Ekweremadu carpets EFCC for denying ‘Anti-Corruption Ambassador’ bestowed on him

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has reacted to a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, denying that the agency decorated him as its Anti-Corruption Ambassador.
Uche Anichukwu, his media adviser, in a statement Wednesday night said the EFCC Liaison Officer to the National Assembly, Mr. Suleiman Bakari, and his team, applied for and susbsequently paid a courtesy call on the Deputy President of the Senate in his office on Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
He said, “Mr. Bakari, amongst other issues he raised, solicited the support of the Senate and National Assembly towards the anti-corruption crusade of the present administration, and even presented a frame with a bold picture of President Muhammadu Buhari, bearing the inscription: ‘If we dont kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria’.
“Mr. Bakari also, on behalf of the Acting Chairman, management, and staff of the EFCC decorated Senator Ekweremadu as an Anti-Corruption Ambassador of the EFCC.”
The statement quoted the EFCC official as saying that “It is, therefore, my honour, Your Excellency, to on behalf of my Acting Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Mustafa Magu and the entire management and staff of the EFCC, decorate you as an Anti-Corruption Ambassador and formally present this frame, as a token of our appreciation to your person and office, and as a symbol of institutional partnership between the EFCC and the National Assembly.”
It noted that the visit and decoration was captured in both pictures and video.
Continuing he said, “As for the purported claim by the EFCC spokesperson that the agency has never and could not have decorated anybody as an Anti-Corruption Ambassador, since, according to him, ‘the Commission is not in the habit of awarding titles to individuals’, we wish to refer him to December 7, 2007, when the Nuhu Ribadu-led EFCC conferred the Role Model Award in the Fight Against Corruption, on certain persons, including a former President of the Senate, a taxi driver, and a former Justice of the Federal High Court at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
“That the denial by the EFCC came in two different statements within a few hours is, therefore, baffling, inexplicable, and contradictory.
“Taking cognisance of the command structure of the agency, we also wonder whether Mr. Bakari could have acted on his own or read from a prepared text without recourse to the Commission, which he represents, especially as the visit and decoration was never solicited for in the first place.
“We leave the rest to discerning members of the public to read in-between the lines and make their own judgements.
“However, Ambassador or no Ambassador, the Deputy President of the Senate will not back down from his legislative efforts and advocacy as captured in his several public statements and lectures over the years, pushing for legal and institutional reforms such as Special Anti-Graft Courts; security of tenure and financial autonomy for the EFCC and related agencies. Only such reforms would fast-track justice and insulate the anti-corruption agencies from external interferences and self-reversals.”

Check Out These 6 Amazing Benefits Of Eating Your Placenta Mark Wealth

Thinking of what to do with your placenta after baby’s birth? Do you want to bury it or burn and flush it down the toilet? Well, there are other options we bet you haven’t considered. According to WebMD, you could dry it and put it in capsules or  stir-fry it with onions and chew. You could also make it part of your smoothie or even eat it raw in the delivery room.

Did someone say ‘eew?’ Hehe! Be easy though, ingesting placenta or placenta phage as it is called, is nothing new. This organ which connects baby to mother in the womb, is a passage for transferring nutrients and oxygen from mother to baby. It is also known to contain high levels of nutrients and hormones.

Find out a few benefits of eating your placenta below.

#1 Placental Opioid

It has been discovered that placenta (derived from the Latin word for ‘cake’) contains concentrated levels of vitamins B6 and B12. Among the other benefits, B6 helps the mum in combating postpartum depression, thereby lifting and stabilizing her mood.

#2 The Painkiller

This discovery probably started from studies that revealed that the placenta of female rats contained endorphins which reduces pain. Some studies have now discovered that human placenta contains oxytocin which among other things, is a painkiller.

Women now eat their placenta to reduce labour pains.

#3 Breastmilk Production

Placental lactose and prolactin prepare the mammary glands while also stimulating milk production. Oxytocin also helps in breastmilk ‘let down’ or outflow. The placenta has an abundance of these hormones.

#4 The Energizer

Childbirth takes its toll on the mum, making her weak and raw. Iron and protein are a few of the nutrients that are stored in the placenta over the pregnancy period. Consuming it therefore helps with healing and provides lots of iron, giving strength for new mums to carry out their nursing duties.

#5 The Blood Clots

According to midwivery.com, placenta contains blood-clotting hormones like fibrinogen and oxytocin that comes in handy for mothers that experience postpartum bleeding.

In fact, they believe in this so much that they administer it before and after childbirth.

#6 Hormonal Balance

The painful and draining process of childbirth causes the mother to lose a lot of needed hormones. Placentophagy, in any serving helps the mother refill her hormonal tank in small daily doses. Seems like a neat natural provision from where I’m sitting.

Human Placentophagy received a major endorsement when January Jones, actress in the Mad Men series hailed eating her placenta as the reason why she was able to return to work just 6 weeks after giving birth. Kim Kardashian has also joined the band wagon and it’s moving on.

So how will you

Mrs. Ugwuanyi partners Gazelle Vocational Youth Empowerment Academy to reduce unemployment, criminal activities

The wife of the Enugu State Governor, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi, has charged the youths to avail themselves of the opportunity in the available skill acquisition centres in the country and become self reliant in their endeavours. Mrs. Ugwuanyi made the call yesterday while flagging-off a six-day youth empowerment programme organized by the Gazzelle Vocational Youth Empowerment development in partnership with Fidelity Bank Plc and Industrial Training Fund (ITC) at Nsukka. Addressing the participants and the organizers of the programme at University of Nigeria Nsukka, venue of the event, Mrs. Ugwuanyi observed that youth unemployment has continued to rise,  a situation she described as dangerous following the vices associated with it. She explained that the call had become necessary as these skill acquisition centres when embraced would enthrone successful artisans, entrepreneurs and consultants in the areas of fashion designing, agriculture, welding, catering, cosmetic/soap making, black-smiting, tie and dye among others which she noted were in line with her pet project. The governor’s wife enjoined corporate organizations, NGO’s and good spirited philanthropists to engage the nation’s youth and job seekers in meaningful activities that would make them self reliance and eschew vices in the society, urging the participants to be more dedicated. Speaking on the occasion,  the deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof Chukwuma Ogbonna described the university as a pace setter in education, adding that, the programme was designed to improve the lives of the students and participants alike. Prof Ogbonna explained that the Vocational Academy would enable the school produce graduates that would compete with their counterparts world over, noting that the university family would do everything within its power to empower its students and advised them to make proper use of the opportunities. Speaking, the Managing Director, Fidelity Bank Plc, Enugu and Ebonyi States, Mr. Leo Ezugwu disclosed that his bank came to partner with Gazzelle Academy to take off the programme, noting that Fidelity Bank is always interested in human oriented business programmes towards the development of the society. He noted that the bank always funds and encourages genuine organizations instituted to commence meaningful programmes. The founder and the initiator of the Gazzelle Academy Vocational Centre, Mrs. Muna Onuzo said that the programme was put in place to extend hands of fellowship with Her Excellency and the university community towards empowering the undergraduates in the areas of agriculture, catering, makeup/cosmetics, ICT, hospitality, fashion designing among others.

DAILY AWARENESS 19 April 2016: Before you reach outside of yourself

Before you reach outside of yourself—to food, drink, or whatever it is that you fancy--stop and ask yourself if it is truly what your soul desires or just what your inner child wants to feel good now. Find two areas of your life where you feel victimized and take a concrete step to take responsibility for your own fulfillment. Feel your own joy and other people's joy.

Most importantly, be gentle with yourself and your inner child. You are work in progress and a child of God who loves you. Healing comes from positively acknowledging and taking responsibility for what we need to change, not from beating ourselves up.

Jonathan’s Ex-Aide, Dudafa Arrested At Lagos Airport  By daniel

A former Senior Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic Matters, Waripamowei Dudafa, has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Dudafa, who went underground when he was implicated in investigations into the financial misappropriations in the office of the former National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki, was arrested on Monday at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos when he attempted to flee the country.
He was said to have collected N10bn from the office of the former NSA, which he converted to about $47m and shared to delegates during the 2014 presidential primaries of the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Investigators at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, believe the fund was part of the alleged $2.1 billion meant for the purchase of arms and ammunition for the Nigerian military but which was shared as slush funds to politicians through the Office of the NSA to prosecute last year’s general elections.
It was learnt that after he was interrogated by the DSS, Mr. Dudafa was handed over to the EFCC in Lagos from where he would be transferred to the head office of the agency in Abuja for further questioning and possible prosecution.

Grazing Commission Bill: When Men Die That Cattle May Live! By Reno Omokri

Nigeria is not the only country where nomadic pastoralists herdsmen come and go. In Kenya, they have the Maasai herdsmen who have been herding cattle around the Nile Valley area from the days of Joseph in ancient Egypt. Other nations have their own form of pastoralists too. But never in the history of the 20th and 21st Century has the world encountered a scenario such as that which stares Nigeria in the face, whereby Fulani pastoral Herdsmen simultaneously and nationally and almost systematically are wiping out indigenous Nigerians for the benefit of their cattle.

I challenge my readers to take the time to do a Google search and collate the number of reported casualties from unprovoked Fulani attacks on innocent, unarmed Nigerians in 2016 alone. The results will shock you! I will not throw out a number in order not to give my political foes fodder to use against me in a case of incitement, but please carry out even a cursory research on the matter.

And what has been the response of the Nigerian Government? I was shocked to read the reaction of Nigeria's minister of Internal Affairs, retired Lt. General Abdulrahman Dambazau, who blamed Social Media users for exacerbating these attacks!

I mean really? So what are we to do when we become aware that Fulani herdsmen are accused of killing, raping and maiming Nigerians? Are we to keep quiet in the national interest? Excuse me, but I thought the national interest was the interests of human beings rather than the interest of cattle!
And then President Muhammadu Buhari from faraway China, rightly goes ahead to issue a lethal warning to pipeline vandals: desist from your actions or else be dealt with as I dealt with Boko Haram!
Yet this same tough talking President does not have similar words for Fulani herdsmen? Mr. President, how many Nigerians have to die before you give Fulani herdsmen the 'Boko Haram' treatment?

President Muhammadu Buhari must be willing to suspend the fact that he is himself a Fulani by ethnicity and remember what he has been preaching to us since he first forced his way into our national consciousness after his coup against President Shagari in 1983.

I can never forget when the then military head of state, Major General Muhammad Buhari said "This generation of Nigerians and indeed the future generation have no country other than Nigeria, we shall stay and salvage it together."
Indeed, the President must remember that he wanted us to stay and salvage Nigeria together and not stay and be savaged in Nigeria by Fulani herdsmen!
And the absolute worst part of this story is the attempt by some Legislators to add salt to injury and injustice by floating a so called National Grazing Commission Bill to compulsorily acquire large swathes of Nigerian land and give them to the Commission for the benefit of Fulani herdsmen!

In fact, it makes better sense to establish a Victim Support Commission for the many thousands of victims of Fulani herdsmen than it does to set up a National Grazing Commission!

Honestly, I do not understand the idea behind this Bill. The legislators sponsoring this Bill are asking Nigeria to change her land tenure system to fit nomads who may or may not be Nigerian citizens. Has the world gone mad???

Nigeria should not change to fit Fulani herdsmen, instead it is Fulani herdsmen that should change to fit Nigeria!
The Grazing Commission Bill is an insult to all the victims of the herdsmen. Peace can only be achieved if those who want to herd cattle set up ranches as is done everywhere else in the world!

The cattle herding business is a private enterprise. It should not be the business of the government to use public land and public funds to promote the group interest of Fulani herdsmen.

Let me assure any federal legislator that is foolhardy enough to support this Bill that Senators and Representatives from states where Fulani herdsmen have killed innocent Nigerians should forget their reelection if they support the Grazing Commission Bill!
In fact, they should be ashamed of themselves that they sat in a National Assembly where the Lagos-Calabar rail was not provided for and watched as the #GrazingCommissionBill got to second reading!

Instead of passing laws to protect victims of genocide they want to pass laws to protect those who commit genocide! Talk about Stockholm syndrome!
I am tempted to ask if this the Federal Republic of Nigeria or the Federal Republic of Fulani Herdsmen with Nigerians as second class citizens? Hardworking, tax paying Nigerian citizens do not have land to build houses yet the backers of this repugnant Bill want to give free land to Fulani herdsmen?

But should I or anybody reading this really blame the sponsors of this Bill? Shouldn't the blame rightly be on all of us collectively when we keep silent while our brothers die because of political ambition and fear of persecution!
What did Jesus say again in Matthew 10:28"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

My name is Reno Omokri, if anybody likes let them come and arrest me for saying the truth. I would rather live the rest of my life in a dungeon than fold my hands and do nothing while my fellow Nigerians are being killed so that cattle may live!

Photo: NDLEA arrests Enugu mother of three who faked pregnancy with wraps of cocain

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 46 year old Dorothy Onyekasi pictured above, who faked a pregnancy with 86 pellets of white powdery substances that tested positive to cocaine while trying to board an Emirate flight to Dubai at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport MMIA Lagos.

The mother of three who hails from Enugu and trades in ladies bags and shoes, had cocaine that  weighed 1.720 kilogrammes with an estimated street value of N20.6 million.

When interrogated, Dorothy, she said

“It is all my fault. If only I was contented with the profit from the sales of my goods, I would not have been in this problem. I am separated from my husband who left me with three children. I used to import female bags and shoes from Dubai. My involvement in drug trafficking is a mistake and I take responsibility for my action. I travelled to Dubai to buy my goods. While I was preparing to return, I met a man in Dubai who gave me the drug and promised to give me enough money to expand my business. He also told me that when I get to Nigeria, he will call his partner to collect the drug and give me my money".

NDLEA commander at the Lagos airport, Garba Ahmadu, said the wraps of cocaine would have been easily mistaken for pregnancy.

“It was discovered that the suspect kept 86 wraps of cocaine inside a waist bag which was tied to her stomach. Unfortunately, the drug was detected by NDLEA officers on her arrival from Dubai. The drug was immediately packed and weighed in her presence.”

She will be charged to court soon.

FOUR WAYS TO GET RID OF FULANI NORMADIC GROUP FROM YOUR LAND

Image result for fulani herdsmen attackImage result for fulani herdsmen attack

The Fulani nomadic cattle farmers have been acknowledged as the 4th most deadly terror group .Every day news of villages under siege; maiming, arm robbery and rape have been linked to this group that disguise themselves as animal farmers and travelers. The call to harbor them in a specified place in every state will not only increase the attacks but Will serve as armory and training ground for the Hausa Fulani that may lead to total cleansing of other tribes in Nigeria.
During the Nigeria civil war, Biafra solders ran out of ammunitions and Biafra scientist developed OGBUNIGWE that helped the soldiers to achieve some level of success. Now that the fulanis have become torn in the flesh to other tribes, it call for great thinking and suggestion on how best to scare them away
  • ·         Achieving a biafran state as their nomadic life do not take them to other countries
  • ·         Frying of palm kernel as the scent kills their cows
  • ·         Spraying TOBACO(utaba) in your farms as the smell chokes and kills the cow
  • ·         Using the cannon gun(Nkponalu) as the sound of cannon gun causes confusion within them,

These methods have been tested and it works. So instead of losing your life, Property and virginity because of your farm land why not buy some tobacco today and spread in your farms sparingly or around the farm.

Shocking! Muslim Man Renounces Islam After Tasting Pig Meat for the First Time (Photos)

A Muslim man has caused shock in his community by renouncing his faith after tasting for the first time pig meat forbidden by his religion.
Rakim Shaheed renounced his faith after tasting meat made from pig which is forbidden by his religion

A Syrian refugee recently immigrated to Canada has allegedly renounced his Islamic faith after tasting bacon for the first time.

The 38-year-old man that was recently hired in a Toronto butcher shop claims he accidentally tasted bacon for the first time in his life and has never looked back since.

“It tastes like heaven!” simply puts Rakim Shaheed, newly employed at a downtown Toronto butcher shop. “I took one bite of a club sandwich my boss prepared for me and I almost fell off my chair,” he told local reporters. “It was like a burst of flavor hit my taste buds and shook me like an earthquake” he recalls, visibly still emotional. “I can’t believe no one ever told me it was so good,” he adds.

A taste of heaven

The new Canadian citizen still can’t believe how a few bites off a sandwich radically changed his life.

“If there is a god, for sure he would let me eat bacon. Why would he punish all Muslims for eating bacon? It tastes so good!” he asks, visibly angered by the whole affair. “I feel cheated, I don’t understand why I have been lied to about this for so long,” he told a local radio host.

“I eat it every day and feel much happier now that I have bacon in my life,” he added during the radio broadcast, although he also admits to being shunned by many members of his community. “They can’t understand, they won’t taste it and so, they will never know what they are missing” he acknowledges, visibly disheartened.

A shameless animal

Mohammed Aiksham, a local Toronto imam, claims pork is prohibited to all Muslims alike.

“Pork is strictly prohibited in the Quran for many reasons,” he explains. “For one, it is a filthy animal that carries and spreads many diseases to humans, but it is also the most shameless animal on the face of the earth according to scriptures,” he admits. “It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate, that is why we find in western societies such a prevalence of decadent sexual behavior and swapping of wives between couples,” he acknowledges.

Muslims are not the only religious group to refrain from eating pork, with both Jews and some Christian denominations refraining from doing so, and the Old Testament describing pork as “unclean,” admit experts.

TRCN inducts 308 new teachers from TCE Nsukka — 12th April 2016 From Oladele Oge

TRCN

The Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has inducted 308 graduands of the College of Education, Nsukka, comprising Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), into the teaching profession.
At the fourth induction ceremony held recently, the Registrar and Chief Executive of TRCN, Prof Addison Mark Wokocha, said induction remains imperative in any Teachers’ Training Institute as it improves the quality of both teachers and teaching in the country.
Wokocha who was represented at the occasion by the Deputy Director, Professional Operations, Mr. Adamu Bello, also said that induction confers legal and professional status on new teachers through the administration of the teachers’ oath of allegiance and other provisions of TRCN Act Cap T3 of 2004.
“Like every other profession, induction reduces the negative tendencies confronting the teaching profession. This implies that it is only those that are really prepared to improve on the educational system in the country, that should be entrusted with the teaching-learning process in the nation’s schools”, he said.
He disclosed that the national benchmark for the professional qualifying examination has been developed by TRCN, pointing out that the examination would soon commence. The teachers’ regulatory body, he said, was poised to ensure that priority attention was given to the professionalization of the teaching profession, despite efforts by some state government to establish TC II, emphasizing that NCE remains the minimum qualification for teaching in Nigeria.
He commended the management of the college for toeing the line of the TRCN by working towards the production of quality teachers that have intellectual abilities to compete with their counterparts in other countries of the world. He described the college as a pacesetter in the training of teachers.
He, therefore, urged the inductees to be good ambassadors of their alma mater, adding that they should remain committed and honest in all their endeavours, especially as they move into the field of teaching.
Earlier in an address, the provost of the college, Dr. Okwudili Nwosu, urged the regulatory body to adopt strategies that would help beginners in teaching profession to develop and grow in the art of teaching and learning.
He noted that in developed countries such as Japan, Switzerland and New Zealand, teachers are assigned “guiding teachers”, who closely monitor their teaching. “It is worthwhile for us to study how new teachers are inducted in these countries, understand their similarities and differences, and draw out effective practices to see how they could be relevant to us as we implement our own improvements”, Dr. Nwosu said.
The provost added that teaching is a learning profession, stressing that at the heart of quality education is the teacher, who should be properly harnessed and packaged to meet the challenges of his or her professional demands.
In an induction lecture entitled, “The working condition of the Teachers is the learning condition of the Learner”, delivered by Lawrence Okwudili Eya, a Professor of Educational Management, College of Science, Technology and Education, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State. He observed that teachers discharge their assigned duties when their working condition is favourable, noting  that a teacher can only give what he or she has, but more readily when motivated

Former Congress Committee Chairman of the of PDP to Anambra state , Mr Ike Abonyi.

Metuh commenced his defence through his witness, Ike Abonyi, journalist and public relations consultant who told the court how former president, Goodluck Jonathan demanded for a corporate bank account from Metuh which some amount was paid into.
“Metuh called me to work with him when he won the election to occupy the position of the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP saying his new position has to do with the media and he had no knowledge of he media.
“In a bid to repackage the image of PDP, Metuh informed me that he would be engaging the services of a consultancy firm called CMC Connect; and together we made presentation to Jonathan,” Abonyi said.
He disclosed that CMC had worked with former chairman of the party, Ekewesilieze Nwodo but had to withdraw because they were being owned by the party.
“Metuh, however, told me he had appealed to CMC Connect to work with him due to their good job. He appealed to CMC Connect to continue where Nwodo stopped. They said they were willing to return but the party was owing them and Metuh agreed to push their case.
“Following their presentation in a meeting, Metuh promised to meet them but at that time there was no resources but he promised to get funds from the party
“Eventually the general election was fast approaching and Metuh approached me as the Executive Director of New Telegraph and requested he would need my full services this time saying he would like if I can come in and work as a consultant to help him with the new challenge of improving the image of the party which was in bad shape because by virtue of his position all eyes were on him to come up with strategies ahead of the general election…
“Even when I tried to lure Metuh out of CMC Connect, he reminded me that he had made a commitment and would not go out of it. We eventually called CMC Connect to join the team of journalist, where he informed us that he has been given an assignment by the leader of the party, former President Goodluck Jonathan to come up with strategy that would help the party win the forthcoming election.
“Metuh told us that the assignment given to him was also given to some other professionals, that we should see it as a challenge and make sure that our own strategy prevail in the choice of the President. The team anchored by CMC connect drew up some strategies with Metuh presiding over most of the meetings. We all agreed that he have a good product to offer but Metuh said we should wait for clearance from the Presidential villa for presentation.
“One afternoon, he called me that he had just received a call form the national chairman of the party that the president would be ready for presentation that night. All those involved were resident in Abuja except the Managing Director of CMC Connect I called to take the next available flight for the presentation. Other members of the team went in one vehicle while Metuh carried the Managing Director of CMC in his vehicle. Upon arrival at the villa, only Metuh’s car was allowed to enter but they waited for us at the clearance point where we were ushered into a waiting room. Metuh left and entered another room. Fifteen minutes later, Metuh ushered us into a large parlour with the president, vice, senate president, national chairman of the party, former governor  Anambra State (Peter Obi), Liyel Imoke and some media aides and Reuben Abati all seated.
“The MD of CMC Connect was the first to speak from our team. After the presentation the President requested for comments. At a point, Reuben Abati who saw our presentation as an indictment on him told the President that the situation was not as bad as we portrayed but he was overruled. Peter Obi urged the president to mobilise our team before the commencement of the campaign, otherwise, it would be difficult to win the election given the difficult situation of the government at that time. Following Obi’s comment the President advised that all others that did presentation that night should collapse into Metuh’s team. At that point the President commended Metuh but said the real job was out there.
“President told him to bring a corporate account to him for immediate mobilisation.”
“I’m aware as a journalist that funding of publicity comes from the leader of the party mainly. After our presentation we returned to our lives waiting to hear from Metuh on he outcome, one afternoon he told us that work will now start that the president said he should check his bank account that some money has been disbursed for the job.”
