The Obi of Onitsha in Anambra State, Igwe Alfred Achebe, has condemned the recent protests by pro-Biafra agitators, calling for self determination of the South East.
Igwe Achebe who spoke after his inauguration as the Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, told the protesters to forget the idea of seceding from Nigeria.
He added that continued agitation would mean the violation of the country’s constitution. The monarch who described Nigeria as one indivisible country, urged the agitators to channel their grievances to their Senators and House of representatives members for consideration.
He also warned the youths against violent protests which could lead to break down of law and order in the Southeast region.
