Are you forgetting things easily, not doing well in class or in presentations DUE to forgetfulness?READ THIS

Developing A Strong Memory Is As Easy As ABC!

Editor’s note: “If my memory serves me right…” Familiar situation? Have you ever complained of a poor memory? If yes, then this article is meant for you! Believe it or not, memory is a muscle that can and should be build. “Developing a strong memory has never been easier!” states Moses Alabi-Isama, presenting his self-designed memory improving technique that will easily make the memory always serve you right! Ready to try it?
Apart from poor motivation to study one of the major reasons Nigeria has so many out-of-school children today is the inability of parents and students to train their brains and minds to work together when they want them to. In todays’s world of so many distractions and things to catch up on, we all need a much stronger memory than ever before. Agree?
What if I could help your children to improve their grades by just spending extra seven minutes with them? What if I tell you that you will start observing positive effects after just seven days of consistent practice? I am glad to introduce a simple daily practice to you, which does not require more than seven minutes of your time on a daily basis and which will drastically reduce the time you spend reading and remembering.

The tricks of mind

Do you know that everything you have ever read or seen is located somewhere in your brain? Have you experienced a situation when you read for an exam or a quiz, and then could not recall that very thing during the exam, however, a few minutes later the light came on and the needed thing came up to your mind? What happened?
Situations like this happen to people even during an interview. Some attribute it to the “exam fever”, tension or fear. As far as my work evolves around youths (secondary school pupils and students at higher institutions), I have heard of so many stories of how students put in so much effort to study, but found it difficult to recall anything at the exam. Some of them even end up believing that formal education is just not for them. However, these same people may listen to a new song just once and it is enough for them to remember the lyrics.
Modern youths generally have poor study habits (I will analyse it a bit later), but today’s goal is to debunk the myth that some people have better brain capacity than others. First of all, apart from very few exceptions (less than 0.5% af all human population), we all have the same capacity and abilities to solve problems. Where we differ in is mind. I have mentioned earlier that all information you have ever come across is somewhere in your brain. How come we do not remember it? It is a mind problem.

How does it work?

Please, answer the following question sincerely. How many times have you really read and are you actually reading? You know the answer. An average person today has a very short attention span. Only very few young people can study for several hours at a stretch without getting distracted. Now is the time you have been waiting for. Get a pen and a sheet of paper, or just save this page. Here are seven steps required to strenghten your memory.
1. Start waking up earlier than usually. I prefer 4 am.
2. Set an alarm for 4:10 am
3. Depending on your age pick 10 words ( you can use the same words for no more than three days). I recommend the following: less than 12 years old: five-seven-letter words; 12-17 years old: 10-letter words; 18 years and above: 12-letter words and above.
4. Write down the words, e.g. metamorphosis.
5. Memorise five words. Try to remember them without looking at the paper.
6. After memorizing the words take them one by one and spell them backwards ( yes, from the back, i.e s-i-s-o-h-p-r-o-m-a-t-e-m).
7. Take the next five words and repeat steps five and six. Remember – all this must be done within seven mimutes.
Never give up if your alarm went off and you are still on step two. Try again. Please, never try to do it again immediately that same day, wait till the evening or the following day. I give you a personal guarantee that if you master the above steps you will be amazed at what will start happening to your brain. My life is an example of how it works. Get on board, practise the technique with a friend and remember to update me on the results!
