Uche Secondus EFCC arrests PDP Deputy National Chairman


Secondus was said to have been picked up today, February 24, in connection with some buses he he received from an unnamed person.

The Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Uche Secondus, has been arrested by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), according to multiple reports.

Secondus was said to have been picked up today, February 24, in connection with some buses he he received from an unnamed person.

"It is true; he is right now (4:30pm) in our office for interrogation’’, the Head, Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujiaren, told ThisDay.

Until last Monday, Secondus was the Acting National Chairman of the PDP. He handed over to the newly appointed National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ali-Modu Sheriff.

Secondus' arrest is coming less than one month the party's National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, regained his freedom after spending weeks at the Kuje Prison in Abuja.

He allegedly received N400 million from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), the money which was believed to be from the $2.1billion meant for the procurement of arms for the Nigerian military.
