There has been massive protest by the local government workers in Udenu local government area of Enugu state.the protest has been on the inability of the chairman to pay the workers there monthly salary.

one of them who spoke to our correspondent said that though other local government governments are owing their staff months of salaries but theirs are different because of the perceived high 

indebtedness the chairman has involved himself with many people accruing in millions of naira.

There were indications last week that the chairman Mr Amachi Nwodo was whisked way by policeman to Abuja for a bad loan .

They are asking the EFCC and the state government to come to their aid.
