Scientist develop Super Condoms that kill HIV virus and enhances pleasure

A new hydrogel-based condom that contains antioxidants has been invented by a team of Indian-American scientists at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center. Not only does it contain plant-based antioxidants, which kills the HIV-virus in case of condom breakage but it also uses antioxidants to enhance pleasure. Experts say it is the new big player to join the fight against AIDS

"We are not only making a novel material for condoms to prevent the HIV infection, but we are also aiming to eradicate this infection if possible. Supercondom could help fight against HIV infection and may as well prevent unwanted pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases. If we succeed, it will revolutionize the HIV prevention initiative"

Choudhury, the lead researcher and assistant professor at the Texas A&M Health Science Center's Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, said The researchers hope to test the condom within the next six months and then get it released for general usage.

Federal High Court orders immediate release of Biafran leader, Nnamdi Kanu

The Federal High Court Abuja has ordered the DSS to immediately release the director of the Indigenous People of Biafra and director of Biafran radio, Nnamdi Kanu. Justice Niyi Ademola at a hearing of a case filed against the Federal government by his lawyer this morning, said Kanu was being held unlawfully by DSS and should be freed immediately.

Only yesterday the Magistrate court in Wuse zone 2, Abuja, dropped all charges of criminal conspiracy, intimidation and leading an unlawful society brought against Kanu by the federal government after the DSS appealed to the court to strike out his case so he can be taken to a higher court that can entertain charges bordering on terrorism.

BIAFRA:KANU FINALLY RELEASED :Court frees Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi KanuReport reaching DAILY POST says the Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered the Department of State Service, DSS, to immediately effect the release of the detained Director of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
The Justice Adeniyi Ademola led Federal High Court ruled on Thursday that the continued incarceration of Kanu by the DSS was unlawful.
It would be recalled that Kanu was yesterday discharged by Shuaibu Usman of the magistrate court in Wuse II, Abuja, of all counts of criminal conspiracy, intimidation and leading an unlawful society brought against him by the federal government.
The government through DSS had opted to withdraw the case at the lower court for a higher court, which has jurisdiction to entertain charges bordering on terrorism.
The DSS has had the IPOB leader incarcerated for at least 90 days despite an order granting him bail in October. It had sought an order of the Federal High Court, Abuja, to keep Kanu in detention.

Read the new tactics armed robbers have now employed to rob people

Facebook user Ribadu Mohammed Ahmed wrote;

"Security Alert! This is to awake our security consciousness!!!. A story is told of how armed robbers are snatching the innocent people of their vehicles nowadays. In a party or public gathering, they will meet the MC to make an announcement of a particular car with registration number so so and so blocking them, while gun will be drawn out to the potential driver at the point of the car.
Do the following when your vehicle registration number is being called: (1) take ur time b/4 going out, (2) don't go out alone, at least in coy of two or more people, (3) don't go directly to where the car is parked, at least to confirm from a distance if you are blocking another car truly. Somebody who witnessed how one of such announcer was apprehended with a pistol in his pocket. Share this experience today and save a lot of people. You must be your brother's keeper".

Yesterday some thugs stormed the local government area premises and started beating up workers .Chairman and vice chairman Of NULGE were shot while many workers sustained several injuries.
This is coming aftermath of a peaceful rally organized by NULGE chairman to tell the world how they have been owed several months of salary while the chairman is living a flamboyant lifestyle.

DSS drops charges against Biafra leader Nnamdi Kanu in Magistrate Court

The Charges filed by the Department of State Security against the director of the Indigenous People of Biafra and owner of Biafra Radio, Nnamdi Kanu at the Chief Magistrate Court Abuja has been dropped. Shuaibu Usman, the magistrate of the Chief Magistrate Court, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, this morning discharged Kanu and struck out the case filed against him after the Federal government through its agent, the Department of State Services (DSS), approached the court to withdraw the case so that a higher court, which has jurisdiction to entertain charges bordering on terrorism, can take over.

DSS says Nnamdi Kanu funding terrorism as court adjourns until Thursday

Nnamdi KanuThe Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed Thursday to decide whether or not to admit the Radio Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu, on bail.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola on Monday fixed the date after taking arguments from both parties involved in the bail application.
Kanu has been in detention of the Department of State Services (DSS) since October.
Tribune reports that Counsel to the DSS, Mr Moses Idakwo, while objecting to Kanu’s bail application, asked the court not to admit the suspect on bail because he was allegedly involved in terrorism acts.
The DSS counsel told Justice Ademola that the Federal Government was in possession of bank accounts of the accused person for dollars and pound sterling from where he had allegedly been financing terrorism acts against the country.
Tthe counsel also submitted that Kanu has dual citizenship of Britain and Nigeria and he could flee and escape justice if allowed to go on bail.
Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu dismissed the claims of the DSS on the grounds that they were speculative and not supported with any documents to buttress their claim.
Kanu’s lawyer had earlier asked the court to set aside an order it earlier granted to DSS operatives to detain him for 90 days on alleged investigation of terrorism against him by the Federal Government.
Kanu also asked the court to strike out a criminal charge with reference no FHC/ABJ/CS/873/2015 brought against him by the SSS.
In a motion on notice argued before Justice Adeniyi Ademola, Kanu applied for an order of the court admitting him to bail and also directing the DSS to obey an order of the Chief Magistrates’ Court which had earlier granted him bail in the motion argued by his counsel, Mr. Egechukwu Obetta.

APC Enugu state rejects local government caretaker committee appointment

Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dragged the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, to court over his plans to suspend council polls and appoint caretaker committees for the 17 council areas in the State come January, 2016. It would be recalled that Chief Ugwuanyi, who ascended to the government house on the platform of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), had recently revealed to Enugu State political stakeholders of his intention to appoint caretaker committees that would run the affairs of the council areas to enable the government make adequate budgetary provisions for the exercise and as well complete on-going verification exercise in the local government areas.APC vehemently opposed the plan, prompting it to file a suit at the Enugu State High Court. According to the APC, it has already secured an Order of the Court to serve the Originating Summons and the motion on notice for interlocutory Injunction “to restrain the Governor and his partners from appointing any such caretaker committee pending the hearing and determination of the case”. The case, with the suit number E/362/2015, is pending before Hon. Justice R O Odugu of High Court 6, Enugu. A statement credited to the publicity secretary of the APC in the State, Mrs. Kate Offor, which was made available to Tectono Business Review, has it that the party headed to court in order to forestall the tendency of misapplication of local government council funds and under the lame excuse of no money to conduct local government council election. According to Mrs Offor, “it must be known that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Enugu State Chapter, is vehemently opposed to the setting up of Caretaker Committees to run the Enugu State Local Government Council, as canvassed by His Excellency, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, governor of Enugu State. We say capital no to the setting up of Caretaker Committees to run Local Government Councils in Enugu State on the grounds that it is unconstitutional, ultra vires and goes against the grains of timeless best tenets of democracy. “As Abraham Lincoln said, ‘No man is good enough to govern another man, without that other’s consent’ and most importantly the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended under Section 7 states, ‘The system of local government by democratically elected Local Councils is under this Constitution GUARANTEED and accordingly, the government of every State shall subject to Section 8 of this Constitution ensure their existence under law which provides for establishment, structure, finance and function of such Councils.’ “While we were busy preparing for local government council election and calling for the sack of the corrupt and inefficient Dr. Bony Eneh led Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), news filtered in that His Excellency will impose cronies and party goons as councillors and chairmen to govern our local government councils. We are, therefore, at a loss why a governor duly elected to protect and defend the Constitution should arrogantly and less than transparently breach the Constitution, especially when his predecessors conducted local government council elections backed by law.”

BEWARE OF CHURCHES:Pastor, Juju Paraded Naked In Imo

A pastor and juju priest were recently stripped naked in Orlu, Imo state over the weekend.
The pastor and Juju priest
According to report, it was a scene to behold when an unidentified pastor in Orlu who is the founder of Holiness of Heaven Ministries, was paraded naked, alongside his accomplice, an alleged traditional priest.
The pastor who’s said to be ‘very powerful’ with numerous miracles attached to his name, met his waterloo after marrying a new wife.
The new wife was said to have allegedly cried out after noticing that her new husband has some sort of association with a very dangerous native doctor within the community. This led to the village youths raiding the pastor’s church and house. Lots of fetish items were discovered.
This consequently led to the burning down of the church and the shrine of the juju priest before the alleged ritualists were paraded around town naked.
You can see the naked photo here.

Just recently, a man of God in Kenya, Pastor Paul Sanyangore, caused a stir. The pastor got several tongues wagging and eyes popping when he decided to bless his church members with condoms, which he called ‘holy condoms’ during a church service.

Why we are buying N4.7billion worth of cars – Nigerian Senate

Senator Bukola Saraki, Nigeria's Senate President
Senator Bukola Saraki, Nigeria’s Senate President
The Nigerian Senate has responded to reports by online news platform, Premium Times, that it plans to illegally spend an estimated N4.7 billion on exotic cars for its President, Bukola Saraki, and 108 other members.
In a statement signed by Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, the senate claimed that the vehicles are to be used for execution of committee assignments, noting that, they are not meant for individual senators.
Premium Times had reported that the purchase of the cars in the guise of buying it for committees is a ploy to circumvent the monetisation policy of government which forbids the purchase of official cars for public officials.
Under the policy, no new vehicles should be purchased by any agency of government for use by public officials.
Rather, public officers and political office holders are to receive 250 per cent of their annual basic salary as motor vehicle loan, which translates to N5.07 million for each senator and N545,000,000 million for 109 senators and not N4.7billion as quoted by the senate.
Sources at the National Assembly however said the Senators got these loans before also proceeding to acquire these new Toyota Land Cruisers.
The Senate spokesperson also said the cars in Mr. Saraki’s convoy are so old that they are begging for replacement.
Yet Premium Times learnt the cars were only supplied shortly before the end of the last legislative session in June.
Mr. Abdullahi did not also explain why 10 cars were being bought for Mr. Saraki when the law only provides for six cars for him.
Read the full statement by the senate below
PROJECT VEHICLES FOR COMMITTEE WORK, SAYS SENATE
“The vehicles are not meant for individual Senators. They are purchased for the use of the committees.
“For those who may want to find out what happened to the ones bought in the past, we cannot expect that after four years, the vehicles will still be in the condition to effectively serve the present committees. The best practice in government institutions and even private organizations is for official vehicles allocated to top officials after four years of use to be sold at the depreciated value”, Abdullahi stated.
“We have been very frugal, responsive and responsible in our spendings. We have also cut down on several expenses. However, there are certain expenses and purchases that are normal in government and any organisation generally. The legislature is not an exception.
“With respect to the official vehicles of the Senate President, it should be noted that majority of the vehicles in his convoy are his personal vehicles while some of the vehicles that he inherited, including his official vehicles and the back up car, are so old that they are already developing faults and not fit for long journey. We can recall that on several occasions, his official car broke down. Three instances will suffice here. I remember on a visit to Nasarawa state for a wedding of the daughter of a colleague. Other occasions were at the National Mosque three weeks ago and at the Abuja airport.
“The implication is that the vehicles in his official convoy are so old that they are already causing embarrassment for the Senate. The media should know that a man of his antecedent will not at this point be excited with purchase of new cars. His official cars are really long overdue for replacement.
“The media should avoid deliberately portraying the legislature as irresponsible and inciting the people against it. We seek the understanding of the media to explain issues and situations to the people. Both the media and the legislature have different roles to play in sustaining our democracy and none should be seen to be undermining the other

PDP supports APC anti corruption stand:Party threatens to expose top politicians' source of wealth

Party threatens to expose top politicians' source of wealth, calls for national truth commission

The Peoples Democratic Party has consistently said that the All Peoples Congress led government is using the war against corruption to settle political scores and intimidate its members.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson, Chief Olisa Metuh has called for a national truth commission, for Nigerians to deliberate on corruption and corrupt practices.
Metuh said the commission will also expose to Nigerians, the source of wealth of most public office holders in Nigeria.
Metuh said “In the light of the way and manner of this government’s selective prosecution of the war against corruption, the PDP challenges the government to set up a National Truth Commission wherein politicians and other Nigerians publicly discuss the true meaning of corrupt practice in our land. This commission would also provide a platform for a proper public inquisition into the mind-boggling wealth of some Nigerians in public office.”
“Nigerians are quite eager to learn the business and investment tricks of past and present public officers in the APC fold, especially former governors, former ministers as well as their national leader, who suddenly acquired multi-billions investments and are now reputed to be the richest politicians in the country,”he said.
“If indeed the government is interested in ending sleazes associated with campaign funds, the National Truth Commission will present an avenue for Nigerians to openly debate the issues therein with facts and figures,” Metuh said.
The Peoples Democratic Party has consistently said that the All Peoples Congress led government is using the war against corruption to settle political scores and intimidate its members.

Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo:Ex-PDP National Chairman canvasses support for President

Nwodo told newsmen in Umuahia that the president needed time to formulate policies and execute programmes to tackle the myriads of socio-economic challenges currently plaguing the nation.

The former National Chairman of the PDP, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, has urged Nigerians to have faith in President Muhammadu Buhari and give him time to implement his campaign promises.
Nwodo told newsmen in Umuahia that the president needed time to formulate policies and execute programmes to tackle the myriads of socio-economic challenges currently plaguing the nation.
He said: "The president came in with tremendous goodwill. It’s not easy in the Third World for an opposition party to defeat a sitting government.
"So for Buhari to have done that shows the measure of goodwill he came to office with.
‘’Secondly, I believe that what he promised our people was something that was timely; I’m of the PDP but that government had reached a point of impunity.
"The level of impunity is being shown by the investigations that are going on indicating that we needed somebody who promised us that he was going to fight corruption and to bring sanity to government expenditure.
‘’I’m one of those who believe that no Nigerian should go to bed hungry and that this country has enough resources to feed us and to provide enabling environment to achieve our God-given talent.
‘’But when government’s resources are so plundered as they have been done by other administrations, you can see that the waste in governance has made it impossible for Nigerians to reach their manifest potential.
‘’So when a president is coming on board and promises that he is going to fight corruption and people voted, so these are the two big credentials that the president came on-board with.
"They are not things that can be achieved overnight. The problem is that we have suffered so long that Nigerians have become impatient.
‘’They want to be removed from the fire they are in today by tomorrow but government doesn’t work like that.
"It takes time for policies to be formulated and to be implemented, so what I want to plead with Nigerians is to give the president time.
‘’I believe he has brought in a solid team of ministers to help him and this is the time the work now starts.
" Let’s pray for him, let’s wish him the best and hope that he will be able to fulfil those promises he made to us.’’
Nwodo also canvassed the need for the Federal Government to implement the report of the National Conference, saying this would help to reduce social tension in the country.

Real face of Jesus Discovered

A forensic anthropologist used science to draw what he says is the most realistic Jesus

According to medieval artist/scientist, Richard Neave, Jesus is not the white, long-haired, skinny face you've been seeing throughout your entire life.
Using the powers of science, Neave found three skulls from Israeli archaeological sites and used computerized tomography to construct the best shape for Jesus's face. From his findings, Neave created a black Jesus, with a much broader nose and a new hairdo. This photo has since gone viral.
